Venue @ Frog Town

Important ! Venue Access Rules

In order to comply with dust control regulation entering & leaving the venue as follows: 

ACCESS by date

Thursday: May enter either from Virgin (Hwy 9 ) or Hurricane ( Hwy 59)

Friday : 8 am – 6 pm Enter only Via HWY 59 . Road from Virgin is restricted.

Friday : 6pm and after. Enter only VIA Virgin. Road from Hwy 59 will be closed for the race.

Saturday: Enter Via Virgin , Race in Progress.

Sunday: All participants leaving after 11 am will be required to Exit Via Hwy 59. The road to Virgin will be closed.

Please plan accordingly.

ENTERING FROM HURRICANE

Take Hwy 59 Toward Colorado City/Kanab out of Hurricane. Once you pass the Over the Edge Bike shop , travel 3.2 miles to Sheepbridge road. Turn left and drive another 3 miles to Frog Town.

ENTERING FROM VIRGIN

Take Hwy 9 Toward Zion National Park, just before the main town of Virgin look for Sheep Bridge Rd. ( Mesa rd to the North) . Turn  Right and proceed 1 mile to venue.

 

From Las Vegas:  Take I-15 North through St George to exit 16 (hwy 9). Proceed to Hurricane.

Turn right on Main ST , then Left on 100 S ( which is Hwy 59) .

OR

follow the signs to Zion National Park. Once you get to LaVerkin , turn right at Maverik and proceed to Sheepbridge road right before Virgin.

From Salt Lake City or Denver:     Take I-15 South to Exit 27 (hwy 17) at Anderson Junction. Proceed east through Toquerville to La Verkin, turn left on hwy 9 to Sheep Bridge Rd. Turn right on Sheepbridge RD. Cross the bridge and proceed  1 mile to venue.

OR

Continue past the Mavirick to 100 E in Hurricane. Turn Left , then right on 100 S. Head 3. 2 miles up the Hill to Sheepbridge. Turn Left and head 3 miles on the dirt to Frog Town.

Camping and Parking Rules

You must purchase a vehicle pass prior to entering the venue for the first time. They are available when you register or at the gate. The pass is good for the entire event and is charged per vehicle:

Car/tent camping – $10 per vehicle

RV/oversize Vehicle Camping $25 per vehicle

Prime Spots: We also have a limited number of PRIME Solo spots. These are spots that are immediately adjacent to the timing tent and venue area or on solo row and are ideal for racers who plan to race the full 25 hours and want to assure a great spot. 

We allow a limited number of racers to purchase a prime solo spot which reserves them some of the best spots and allows for later arrival. The map below shows the reserved spots by number. The places in green are open Solo camping, first come first serve. Teams may not camp in the Solo areas.  Special requests can be made for RVs and to be next to another person. You can not request a specific spot. The request may be submitted via email up until 10 days prior to the event.  If you registered for a prime spot you will get an email the weekend prior to your assignment.

Solo and Teams Camping Locations and Restrictions

Only camp in previously disturbed area. Do not place tents, shade structures or lawn chairs along the single track in the Venue area. Do not camp in washes or on pristine vegitation. 

Solo row is on course and is for solo racers and support.  Standard Solo spots are 20 x 20. There is a limited number of spaces that will accommodate an RV on Solo row.  If you choose to camp below the start/finish line be aware you will not have vehicle access out of the venue once the race begins.

Team Camping is located off Frog Town Rd and has an excellent view of much of the course. All teams are encouraged to camp in this area, as well as those with very large RV’s. The further down the road you camp the more quiet and privacy you will have during quiet hours.

Camp Fire Restrictions 

Only above-ground chimeas or fire barrels are allowed. You must pack out your ashes. Do not dump them.

You may also use a gas-powered fire pit. Any BLM fire restrictions in place during the event will also apply and be detailed in the Race Bible. 

Trash

Pack-in Pack out all trash, shade structure and tents. Please leave your space nicer than you found it.
