Gravel Granfondo

The Gran Fondo is meant to be a fun ride that will showcase the joys of gravel riding and take you on a journey through the splendor and history of the Oasis Valley. It is not a race, but you will be timed. The course is designed to be ridden by anyone, fast or slow. It will travel from the Spicer ranch through the Mayfield mine area, around the Bullfrog Hills, and around into Death Valley National Park via a historic narrow-gage railroad bed. You will come out at the historic ghost town of Rhyolite, before hitting the rail-bed for a quick final downhill sprint into town where you will share the course with those doing the 100 K Tinker Classic.

The ride leaves from Spicer Ranch and uses portions of the Tinker Classic course. The course is relatively fast and should take average riders about 3 hours to finish.

Once you reach Beatty you can stop there or ride the 7 miles on the road back to the Ranch.

There are two full feed zones and 1 water stop of the route, so plan accordingly.

Feed Zone 1 : 17 K ( 10:45 Miles )

Water Stop:  31 K  (19.05 Miles)

Feed Zone 2: 44 K 27.65 Miles

You will all finish at the same finish line, but you number plates and chip will distinguish you from the TC100 racers.

When you finish you can grab some food and hang out to watch the other riders finish, grab a shuttle back to the ranch  or pedal another 6 miles back.
