Rules

Participation Rules

  • Don’t be a dick!

We know, it’s a bad word and we don’t like using such language. So don’t cross that line and we’ll treat you with nothing but respect & love. Do cross that line so that we get mad enough to use our bad words, and you won’t be welcome back. Plus you’ll have to deal with everyone on the internet!
It’s Rule #1, and it goes a long way, but there are more rules, too…

  • Safety first! While this is a timed event the prizes aren’t worth injury, or worse. Take care of yourself and each other out on the course.
  • The course is on open roads, with car & horse traffic. Abide by the rules and laws of the road, and treat cars & horses with respect. They are bigger than you. Failure to do so will result in disqualification and a permanent ban from future events.
  • Respect Mother Earth. Whether you are a local or a foreigner please respect the land we are allowed to use and treat it like your own backyard.
    • DO NOT LITTER
    • STAY ON THE TRACK. Don’t create new lines when passing. Don’t tread on the moss.

Competition Rules

  • You must wear a helmet at all times
  • You must finish on the same bike you start on.
  • To be considered a finisher, you must complete the number of laps you registered for. You can finish those laps as fast or slow as needed as long as they are completed in the required time for your category.
  • You may start at any time during your allocated start window by rolling over the start mat to trigger your timing chip.
  • If you shortcut the course you will be disqualified for that segment.
  • You can deviate from the course to access food, drink, or toilets, but you must return at the same place you left.

Timing Rules

  • Do not bend or wrap your number plate. It must be affixed to the front of the handle bars. A broken chip caused by rider error is your responsibility and may cause you to have no results.
  • No not linger near timing crossings. This can cause multiple reads and timing errors. Proceed at least 20 feet past the mat or box before stopping.
